During this unit: Students examine why the Articles of Confederation was replaced with a new constitution, the debate that emerged between Federalists and Anti-federalists, the principles of limited government that are exemplified in the U.S. Constitution, and the rights that are protected by the U.S. Constitution. Students also examine examples of how the U.S. Constitution addressed colonial grievances.
